At the Webb Barn
From April to November, the Webb Barn is available for weddings and event rentals. They can run the full gamut from elegant sit down dinners to down-home barbeques. The beautiful grounds surrounding the barn and the historic setting provides wonderful opportunities for picture taking. The barn is set back from the street with a private blue stone patio in front of the entrance. It is screened from public view by the historic houses, trees and the garden, so each group is able to enjoy their own special day in privacy.
No one forgets “their day” at the Webb Barn, and it continues
to be a source of many happy memories through the years. Siblings
have held their weddings at the Webb Barn, sometimes ten or more years
apart. One couple who was originally married in the barn held a fiftieth
wedding anniversary there.
The barn also lends itself to large private and corporate events, anniversary parties, reunions, concerts, and seminars. The grounds can be used for volleyball, croquet, and other games. By special arrangement, the event rental can include a tour of the museum houses.
We encourage you to contact us as soon as you can if you have an interest in scheduling a wedding or event. There is room in the barn for 135 people for a sit-down dinner; and this number can be expanded by adding tents. View our photo album below showing recent weddings and other events held at the barn or Joseph Webb House. To contact us about renting the barn, call the rental coordinator Katie Sullivan at 860 529-0612, extension 16, or e-mail her at ksullivan@webb-deane-stevens.org.
